OMG, it took me a few listens to realize how good the new Underworld album is. |

You can see the iridescent paint kinda well here, but it looks lots more colorful in person under the right light. Also, the glitter hardly shows at all in this photo.

Worked all morning on the magenta rings, listening to KCRW podcasts. |

It is a bit difficult to paint on pegboard. The brush likes to dip in the little holes which pulls off a globule of paint which then wants to drip, or at least read as a little dark blob. I always need to keep telling myself to not paint on 3-D objects, but I end up doing it every 4 years or so. Also, the grid is tight and small, which makes it slow going. I don't usually make circles as small as these holes, so my hand isn't trained to make a smooth circle with the brush, but I am seeing some improvement as I go along. |

I have returned to painting after the huge interruption of Burning Man.

This is Gimmick, who I adopted a few days ago. He's a year and a month, so still full of lots of kittenish energy. He is a complete attention pig. Loves to be picked up and petted. Love to play with a string. He is a joy.

This painting is slow going at this stage, but it is about to lose all the white, which is always exciting. Once the white disappears, I can add more elements, make it more interesting. I have plans for lots of glitter. |

I find myself in a time consuming "program" with this painting. |
